PM Narendra Modi has invoked a Mahabharat-like “chakravyuh” on India with an aim to snatch money from the poor and give it to a few billionaires, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Monday said as he accused the Centre of working for industrialists.
Gandhi addressed rallies in Ambala and Kurukshetra district. Rahul also made former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party veteran Kumari Selja, considered rivals, join hands.
At Thanesar in Kurukshetra, also known as the land of the Mahabharat, Gandhi said, “Their (BJP’s) target is to take money out from your pocket and give to 20-25 billionaires. Like the ‘chakravyuh’ in Mahabharat, PM Modi has invoked a chakravyuh on Hindustan. It is managed by six people —Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Adani, Ambani, Doval and Mohan Bhagwat.”
Gandhi said, “India’s youth is not Abhimanyu, he is Arjun and he will break this chakravyuh in two minutes.” Attacking the Centre on Agnipath, he said, “Normal jawans get a life-long pension. Those who have been named (Agniveer) will not be given pension. Meaning, the money has been snatched from the Agniveer. Where has (the money) gone? Into the pockets of Adani ji.”
“The money they gave to Adani-Ambani, I am going to put it into the pocket of farmers, labourers, the poor and Dalits. We will find out some way for MSP and loan waivers…” he said.
