Comprising of the nine Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies, including Nuh, Rewari, Bawal, Ferozepur Jhirka, Punahana, Badshahpur, Sohna, Pataudi, and Gurgaon, the voting date for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha elections 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 25 in the 6th Phase.
In the past elections in 2019, Rao Inderjit Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious with a significant margin, defeating the opposition from the Indian National Congress (INC), securing 8,81,546 votes and representing a vote share of 61.00%.
As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections approach, the electoral arena in the Gurgaon constituency is set to witness an intense battle as the incumbent MP, Rao Inderjit Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), enters the poll fray once more.

A five-time MP and four-time MLA, Rao Inderjit Singh is the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in various ministries, including Statistics and Programme Implementation, Planning, and Corporate Affairs.
Singh resigned from the Congress party and joined the BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections where he contested the polls from the Gurgaon constituency in Haryana and won the election with a margin of over 2.7 lakh votes, defeating his nearest rival and Indian National Lok Dal leader Zakir Hussain.
Similarly, in the 2019 general elections, Singh again contested the polls from the Gurgaon constituency and won with a margin of over 3.5 lakh votes, defeating his nearest rival and Indian National Congress candidate Ajay Singh.
