After Lord Ram’s Holi in Ayodhya, Mathura waits: Yogi Adityanath

He said voters have “no doubt” over which party to vote in this LS election “as the country was ready to re-elect Narendra Modi as the PM of the country for the third consecutive time”.

Launching BJP’s LS poll campaign in UP, CM Yogi Adityanath Wednesday alluded to the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute in Mathura and said that after Lord Ram played Holi in his Ayodhya dham (abode) this year, the lanes of Mathura and Vrindavan are also waiting for the same.

The senior BJP leader, who addressed “Prabudha Sammelans” or “meetings with intellectuals” in three west UP constituencies on Wednesday, said in Mathura: “Holi Khele Raghuveera Awadh Mein bhajan humne khub suna hai. Lekin pehli baar paanch sau barson mein Ayodhya dhaam mein Maryada Purshotam Ram ne apne dham Ayodhya mein viraajman hokar ke Holi ke utsav karaywaye. Aur Mathura, Vrindavan ki pujya galiyan bhi intezaar toh kar hi rahi hogi (We have heard bhajan Holi Khele Raghuveera Awadh Mein a lot, but for the first time in 500 years, Lord Ram played Holi at his abode Ayodhya. Now, the holy lanes of Mathura and Vrindavan are also waiting for the same).”

He said voters have “no doubt” over which party to vote in this LS election “as the country was ready to re-elect Narendra Modi as the PM of the country for the third consecutive time”.

“… For the first time, the voters have no doubt which party is their first choice. The third successive stint of (Narendra) Modi ji as PM will catapult our country to become the third-largest economy in the world,” he said at another Prabudh Sammelan at Chaudhary Charan Singh University auditorium in Meerut.

Invoking the abrogation of Article 370, Adityanath said it was the courage of Narendra Modiji that made it a reality and “incidents of stone pelting stopped there”. On construction of Ram Temple, he said, “The credit for this goes to none other than Modiji. That which could not happen in the past five centuries was made possible under the leadership of Narendra Modi.”

Speaking about BJP candidate for Meerut LS seat, Adityanath said Arun Govil has left a strong mark on art and culture scene and is someone who has “lived the character of Lord Ram on TV screens in our homes”, referring to popular Ramayan serial of 1990s. In Mathura, he compared the coming polls as a contest between Opposition “whose motto is Family First” and the BJP which is focused on “Nation First”.
