Watch: This Facebook Live video captures the tension during Dallas shooting

The gunfire broke out around 8:45 PM on Thursday, Live TV video showed protesters marching along a street in downtown when the shots erupted and the crowd scattered, seeking cover. Scores of police and security officers were on hand. Police and others hunched behind cars outside a parking garage.

Michael was posting videos of the protests that were happening in the city in the aftermath of police fatally shooting two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana. He was on the street which he identifies as “Main Street & Lamar” in the video, when the first round of gunfires were heard.

Amidst the loud noises of bullets and police sirens, in the video, he can be heard saying “there is an officer down”, before he tries to look around the buildings to figure out from which one the shots are coming from. He sees the injured police officer being dragged into the police van. He sees some activity in the corner and thinks the police are moving up on a suspect. He is rushed away by the cops on to a safe site before he can figure out what is going on.
