US President Donald Trump on Tuesday went on a tirade against Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Somalian migrants during a domestic rally in months which was focused on lowering costs for Americans. White House said the Pennsylvania rally is the first in nearly a year of stops that the US president will be making across the United States ahead of the 2026 midterms.

During the 90-minute speech in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, Trump took a dig at Omar and talked about stopping the flow of migrants from Somalia and other “third world” countries. Trump has been critical of Somalian migrants in Minnesota in recent days after it was reported that the group was allegedly connected to a fraud scandal in the state. The US president last week labelled Minnesota Somalis as “garbage” and said he didn’t want them in the US.

While launching a personal attack on Omar, Trump said, “She married her brother to get in, so she’s here illegally. Throw her the hell out.”

Amid a loud cheer from his supporters, Trump called out Omar and said, “I love this Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bi**h. She’s always complaining. She comes from her country where, I mean it’s considered to be the worst country in the world.”

While mentioning about his administration’s decision to pause migration from some countries, Trump said he has stopped migration from “hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.” The federal government halted the processing of any visa for Afghanistan after an alleged gunman shot at two National Guard troops in Washington DC, out of which one of the National Guard members had died.

Elaborating his tirade, Trump said, “If you don’t share our values, contribute to our economy, and assimilate into our society, then we don’t want you in our country.”
