A small plane with four people onboard crashed with a parked aircraft while it was landing at a Montana airport in the US on Monday, which triggered a huge fire but caused no serious injuries, authorities said.
According to Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio, a single engine plane with four people onboard was trying to land at the Kalispell City Airport at around 2pm (local time) on Monday, when it collided with a parked aircraft the airport which led to a fire and thick smoke billowing in the region.
As per the US aviation watchdog Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the single engine plane was the Socata TBM 700 turboprop and it struck an unoccupied plane on the ground stationed at the Kalispell City Airport in the US state of Montana.

The collision between the two planes triggered a huge fire that led to the grassy area before it was extinguished, police chief Venezio stated. Kalispell City Airport, where the incident occurred, is south of Kalispell, a city of about 30,000 people in northwest Montana.
Kalispell Fire Chief Jay Hagen quoted some of the eye witnesses who said a plane approached from the south, crash landed at the airport and collided into another aircraft, AP reported.
After crash landing, the plane burst into flames, however, the pilot and the three passengers were able to exit on their own after the aircraft came to halt, Hagen added.
Two persons were mildly injured in the incident and they were treated at the airport itself, officials said. The FAA is investigating the cause of the accident.
