People queue outside the Louvre museum three days after historic jewels were stolen in a daring daylight heist, Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 in Paris. (AP Photo/Thibault Camus) French authorities have arrested four additional suspects in the investigation into last month’s Louvre Museum jewel theft, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday, according to Reuters.
The four people arrested are two men, aged 38 and 39, and two women, aged 31 and 40. AP also said the suspects are from the Paris region. Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said her office is leading the inquiry.

“Four other persons were arrested on 25 November,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement carried by Reuters.
The stolen jewellery is worth about $102 million. The items include a diamond-and-emerald necklace given by Napoleon to Empress Marie-Louise, pieces linked to Queens Marie-Amélie and Hortense, and a pearl-and-diamond tiara once worn by Empress Eugénie.
Beccuau’s statement, quoted by AP, did not describe the roles the newly arrested suspects are thought to have played. The jewels have not been found.
Four other suspects were arrested earlier and placed under formal investigation on 29 October and 1 November. AP said investigating magistrates have filed preliminary charges against three men and one woman detained in October, believed to be connected to the group suspected of carrying out the daylight robbery on 19 October.
