Video shows massive ball of fire in China’s Tainjin explosion

Online videos that have surfaced on YouTube show a giant ball of fire in the explosion that took place on Wednesday in the industrial area of  Tainjin, China. The eruption had escalated to the extent of damaging property and leaving hundreds injured.

 

The video of the blast had been recorded from apartment building at far distance from the site of the explosion. The video shows a series of explosions in a loop with each turning out to be bigger than the previous one.

Recent reports say that at least 44 people have been killed in the explosion and hundred others scarred. Twelve of the dead were from among the more than 1,000 firefighters sent to fight the blaze set off by the explosions shortly before midnight, the official Xinhua News agency said. It said 520 people were being treated in hospitals, 66 of them with serious injuries.
