Watch: Aunty tries to dance, but uncle completely steals the show with his Mammootty-style moves

Indian get-togethers and celebrations are definitely incomplete without our dear uncles and aunties hitting the dance floor and breaking into a move or two. After much cajoling while aunties slowly take to the dance floor, the uncles take time, preferring to rather stand on the sides, nursing their drinks. This woman too, took to the dance floor starting off shyly, moving to the music with so much grace and panache. All this was until uncle decided he had enough with aunty being all shy, and took the limelight away from her!

Oh, dear! We’re sure she was just taking her time to get used to the dance floor, but uncle would have none of it. He danced like a rock star on a reality show and aunty slowly faded into the background and later into oblivion as he tore down the stage — one killer move at a time!

The video shows the man standing and observing her attempts at dancing, before he unleashed his inner Madhuri Dixit, or Mammootty (take your pick). Half a minute into aunty’s dance, uncle starts off. But someone came running to stop him. Why? We haven’t seen a better dance in a long while and the man too, suddenly free and unburdened from the society’s expectations of him, decided to pay her no heed. He danced, happy like a bird soaring into a sky it had seen after so long.
