These women perform flash mob in SAREES and it’s awesome!

It was an initiative undertaken by Devditi, an organisation which aims to revive the trend of wearing sarees in urban India.

A bunch of 50 saree-clad women got together on Tuesday and performed a perfectly synced flash mob at the Select City Walk, a mall in South Delhi. As these women tapped their feet to punchy Bollywood music, the crowd cheered along.

What’s remarkable is the courage to dance in sarees. This was, in fact, an initiative undertaken by Devditi, an organisation that works for women empowerment and aims to revive the trend of wearing sarees in urban India, which seems to have been lost due to changing lifestyles.

The motive was to show people that wearing a saree is not a hassle and it’s spot on.
