Football fans were in for a surprise during a recent soccer game between Benfica and Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. During a humorous routine, flight attendants demonstrated to a crowd of 65,000 fans on how to enjoy the game better.

The announcement started with Emirates welcoming fans aboard Estadio da Luz. The crowd was reminded of the stadium’s exit points, the position of the goals and how long the match would last. They were also instructed to switch off their phones so that they could concentrate on supporting their teams better.

This is not the first time that an airline has tried something uniquely interactive to gain a more loyal following of their own. Here’s a look at a few in-flight videos that broke the internet.

Finnair loves Om shanti Om: On January 26th, 2012, when passengers boarded the overnight Finnair flight from Helsinki to Delhi, they were in for a surprise. Passengers watched in shock as the flight attendants broke into a Bollywood dance number, trying hard to groove to Om shanti Om.

Grooving to Balam Pichkari: As a part of Holi celebrations in 2014, the cabin crew of SpiceJet broke into a dance sequence mid-air. This act led to the suspension of two pilots and DGCA issuing show cause notice to the airline.

Time for some flash mob: In 2015, SpiceJet took the show elsewhere. This time there was no mid-air dance. Instead, they decided to orchestrate a flash mob performance at the Delhi airport. 35 specially trained performers danced to the popular track Balam Pichkari.

How dramatic: This WestJet flight attendant’s cheeky yet hilarious pre-flight safety demonstration made him an overnight viral sensation. In a video posted to Facebook by Saskatchewan-based TM’z Veterinary Clinic, Michael McAdam can be seen acting out the demo with dramatic flair.
