Imagine you’re swamped with work or taking a power nap, but your mobile phone won’t stop buzzing with notifications. Comedian Vir Das recently called out Zepto, the quick commerce platform, asking the company to stop sending him notifications.
In a hilarious Instagram post, Das shared a screengrab of several notifications sent by Zepto. “Vir: I am thirsty,” the first notification read. “Get Mushroom Button…,” the second notification said. “Can we interest you in a cookie? Sunfeast Dark Fantasy Choco Fills Coo…,” said the third.
“You’re like paneer. Soft on the inside & the outside,” read another one. Sharing the screenshot, the comedian wrote, “I don’t care if you’re thirsty. Your eggplant needs to leave my mushroom button alone. I don’t want my choco filled. I am not your paneer stop. Stop. Zepto,” the caption read.

The comedian’s post caught Zepto’s attention, who played along and wrote, “No more flirting with Vir. You’ve been telling everyone about us.”
The post triggered a sea of hilarious comments with one saying, “This is how you identify someone as You look Vegetarian!” Another user commented, “One-sided love.” “Hahaha . Their notifications are cheesier than cheese they sell,” a third user wrote.
