Typed out your resignation for the Urban Ladder ‘Sr Mattress Tester’ dream job? Well, sorry but it’s a prank

People got particularly excited after reading the "Desired Skills and Experience" section.

Since yesterday, people have been tagging people on social media on this post writing “Isn’t this your dream job?” and “Dude, this is your dream job” and “This is just for you.” The job profile that has gone viral is of a ‘Sr Mattress Tester’ posted by Urban Ladder, a furniture company.

The job demands one to be a lazy-sleepy-head who hates getting out of bed to get to work. “We’re looking for lazy and unmotivated individuals to join our team,” reads the description. And they very sincerely add: “As a mattress tester, you’ll get to stay in bed pretty much the entire day and actually get paid for it. We’re not kidding.”

People got particularly excited after reading the “Desired Skills and Experience” section, which asks applicants to have profound “love for sleeping that would put Kumbhakarna to shame.”

But sorry to burst your bubble, but this was an April Fool’s prank. A spokesperson of Urban Ladder confirmed the same to Buzzfeed India. In fact, she asked if the article could not be published till April 1.

That’s probably why UL didn’t revert when Indian Express.com reached out for a comment.
