Shraddha Kapoor surpasses Priyanka Chopra Jonas to become second-most followed Indian celeb on Instagram

Last week, Shraddha Kapoor took over Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become the third-most followed Indian on Instagram.

Shraddha Kapoor is making waves with the box-office success of “Stree 2”. While the horror-comedy continues to break records, the actor has reached another milestone. Days after taking over Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become the third-most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, Shraddha has now surpassed Priyanka Chopra and is now the second-most followed Indian after Virat Kohli.

With over 92 million followers, Shraddha outnumbered the “Desi Girl” who has 91.8 million Instagram followers. While PM Modi remains at 91.3 million, star cricketer Kohli is currently the most-followed Indian with 270 million followers.

Shraddha recently appeared in Amar Kaushik’s “Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank” alongside the old cast of Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi. The sequel to “Stree” also saw cameo appearances of Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannah Bhatia. This time, the film traces the story of the evil “Sarkata”, who captures modern women to re-establish patriarchy in Chanderi village.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently attended her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding in Mumbai. The global star was seen slaying in a pink saree. On the professional front, she will be next seen in Frank E Flowers’s “The Bluff” opposite Karl Urban. Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the movie follows a former female pirate who must protect her family when the mysterious sins of her past catch up to her. PeeCee will also be seen in “Heads Of State”.
