A terrifying video from Jaipur, Rajasthan showing a school bus falling into a sinkhole while transporting students has sparked a wave of concern on social media. The bus, marked with “Mount Carmel Convent School,” was on its way to school, sources reported.

Shared by @jist.news on Instagram, the video captures the bus with its rear wheels submerged in the sinkhole, while the front of the vehicle is lifted off the ground. At the time of the accident, there were two children, the driver, and the conductor inside the bus.

Local residents can be seen gathered around the scene, as the bus remained stuck in the pit. There have been no reports of injuries to the children, though the driver sustained minor injuries.

Later in the day, the bus was lifted out of the sinkhole with a crane, drawing a crowd of onlookers, mentioned reports.

The incident has raised concerns about municipal management, especially since the sinkhole was caused by recent heavy rainfall in the area. Rajasthan has experienced sporadic downpours this year, contributing to the road damage.
