Video shows real shoot location of Phulera village in Madhya PradeshThe third installment of the Prime Video series ‘Panchayat’ has been making headlines ever since it released. From ‘Sachiv ji’ to ‘Phulera gaaon’ to ‘Banrakas’, the Internet is flooded with memes around various scenes from the show. Among a sea of videos, an Instagram user managed to find the ‘Phulera’ village, the video of which is now doing rounds.
The viral video captures the iconic ‘Panchayat’ office and the most-talked-about water tank shown in the series.
For those who haven’t watched the series yet, a little spoiler will cause no harm. Jitendra Kumar aka Sachiv ji was accommodated in the ‘Panchayat’ office and the villagers were irked by the potholes on the main road connecting the village.
The video also shows the village’s original name, Mahodiya. The series was primarily shot in Mahodiya Village in the Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh.
Sharing the video on Instagram, a user, Amit Yadav, wrote, “Phulera is real”.

The video garnered over 2 million views as several ‘Panchayat’ fans flooded the comment section with curiosity about the village. Reacting to it, a user commented, “Road ban gya kya? (Have they built the road?).” Another fan commented, “Handpump ki kami hai (handpump is missing).”
“Aur handpump kaha hai? Kahi bhushan aur vinod mil ke chura to nhi liye na (Where is the handpump? I think Bhushan and Vino stole it),” a third fan joked.
Clearing the air around the original shoot location, Madhya Pradesh Tourism shared a video showing that the series was shot in Mahodiya village. “Thank you for your response to #Jigyasa. And the correct answer is—Mahodiya Village, Sehore #MadhyaPradesh,” the caption read.
