The powerful cyclone Vardah hit the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh resulting in loss of lives and property. There were a number of helping hands reaching out to those affected by the cyclone. Ministry of Railways, known for providing timely help to passengers when reached out to on Twitter, this time did not wait for someone to tweet before they got to action.
Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu tweeted about how a Railways team braved the harsh weather conditions to ensure the safety of the passengers on the train that travels from Madras Moore Market Complex (MMMC) and Gummidipundi.
Apparently, this train was the only one which wasn’t anchored because it was expected to complete its 90-minute journey in time. But because of the intensity of the cyclone, the train could not complete its journey, thus leaving more than 100 passengers stranded.

So an RPF team assistant sub-inspector and two constables walked about 4 kilometres to evacuate the passengers in the safest ways. Along with the local police, they arranged for bus transportation for these passengers.
The brave act was appreciated by a lot of people on Twitter.
