As heavy rain continues to lash several districts of Gujarat, rescue operations are underway to evacuate stranded residents. A video of an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter rescuing four people from the flood-affected Kalyanpur tehsil of Devbhumi Dwarka district is doing rounds on the internet.
In the viral clip shared by news agency ANI, two men can be seen being airlifted amid heavy rainfall in the area. As the video progresses, an aerial view of the heavily-flooded area can be seen. The IAF helicopter then successfully airlifts two women too.
“Gujarat: Four people rescued in an IAF helicopter, from flood-affected Kalyanpur tehsil of Devbhumi Dwarka district today,” ANI wrote on X.

The said video amassed over 22,000 views as social media users lauded the IAF for their heroic rescue. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Thank you. IAF.” Another user commented, “Salute to IAF.”
“May god save Gujarat from this natural calamity,” a third user reacted.
On Wednesday alone, 25 people lost their lives due to rain-related incidents. The death toll stands at 35 since Monday. Over 17,000 people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the Indian Coast Guard, the Indian Air Force, and the Army are carrying out rescue operations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, assuring The Centre’s support.
