So, India Today decided to put yoga guru Baba Ramdev on their cover, which would have just been one more cover to be added to the list if it weren’t for the the fact that the cover itself has now made headlines. The controversial cover photo features Ramdev performing an asana – which can be called a version of Prasarita Padottanasana – with his head upside down.
And let’s face it, how could the every active Netizens of Twitterverse not take cognizance of this. Soon, the Net was flooded with memes and jokes about the pose. (Read them here.)
But that was not all. Between all this humour, a very important Physics question arose – How did Ramdev’s beard, which actually almost touches his chest – manage to defy the laws of gravity? (Newton, and us, would really like to know.) In the picture, his beard seems perfectly ‘natural’ in it’s upward direction with no gravitational pitfalls. HOW did the yoga guru – or his photographers – manage to pull that off?
Well, one way could be the use of set-and-keep hairspray, or maybe it was just tied up – we’re not sure… and tweeple really want to know.
After the flag waving on moon, Ramdev’s anti-gravity beard is the next big conspiracy theory in science fiction. pic.twitter.com/yRxqhj7oRe

If doing Yoga can make Ramdev’s beard defy gravity, maybe our army & space programmes should invest in Yoga powered rockets.

@threeinchfooll There’s something fishy abt this pic.ideally the beard should follow rules of gravity and bend downwards.but its this guy.
