The internet dubbed the video as another classic “cat and dog” moment

Nature often leaves us awestruck, reminding us that no matter how much we try to understand it, it always has surprises up its sleeve. A recent viral video is the latest example — this time, a leopard gets the fright of its life from a dog, and the internet can’t stop laughing over what is being dubbed another classic “cat and dog” moment.

The clip, now going viral across social media, shows a leopard sneaking into what appears to be a residential property. Just as it reaches the stairs, ready to explore further, it is ambushed by a dog guarding the entrance. Startled, the big cat does a full-body jump in the opposite direction before bolting away.

Shared on Instagram by Ranthambore National Park’s handle (@ranthamboresome), the video already has over 3.5 million views. The caption says, “COEXISTENCE.”

Though the exact location of the footage has not been confirmed, that has hardly stopped the internet from chiming in with witty reactions. One user joked, “Bro’s now the hero in the local doggo group,” while another commented, “That dog used element of surprise and it worked.”

Someone else offered a more serious take: “The leopard ran because it’s the one that got surprised. If the leopard noticed the dog first, that’s a dead dog by now.” A fourth person observed, “It didn’t even look at what was making the noise.”
