Punjabi pop star Diljit Dosanjh kicked off his Bengaluru stop for the “Dil-Luminati India” tour in the most relatable way—by indulging in local cuisine. His first destination? The famous Rameshwaram Cafe.
A video shared by Team Dosanjh on Instagram captures the singer’s journey, starting with his departure from Punjab airport and his arrival in Bengaluru. Wasting no time, Dosanjh went straight to Rameshwaram Cafe, where he savoured their signature ghee podi idli from the comfort of his car. In the clip, he’s seen enjoying the idli before moving on to a crispy dosa, finishing his feast with a classic filter coffee.

Responding to it, one user said, “Rameshwaram check was mandatory.” Another fan commented, “PUNJABI BENGALURU AAGEYAAA OYEEEE!!!”
Another Instagram user wrote, “Babai tiffin da dosa try kro paaji.”
Dosanjh is set to perform on Friday at the NICE grounds in Madavara. This concert is a part of his tour across ten cities in India.
The Hyderabad controversy
Diljit Dosanjh found himself in the spotlight recently when the Telangana government served him a legal notice ahead of his Hyderabad concert. The notice, delivered just hours before his Friday performance, urged the singer to refrain from performing songs that glorify alcohol, drugs, or violence. Tracks like Patiala Pegg and Panch Tara were explicitly called out in the complaint.
Dosanjh addressed the issue while on stage saying it’s “very easy” for him to avoid those tracks since he doesn’t promote any kind of intoxication, and also said that he doesn’t consume alcohol.
