Global artiste Diljit Dosanjh kick-started his ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour with its first leg at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Social media is abuzz with videos of Dosanjh’s electrifying performances over the weekend. Amid the hullabaloo, a Delhi man expressed his disappointment with the mismanagement at the venue.

An X user, Siddharth, shared a lengthy thread: “Diljit was amazing, but his concert was not.” In the now-viral post, the man revealed that he spent Rs 15,000 on Gold Pit tickets. However, the management wasn’t worth the money. He started by waiting “endlessly” as the gates opened after 5.30 pm and the concert only began at 8.00 pm. Highlighting the mismanagement of washrooms for women, Siddharth called it a “disaster” as there were no lights and were unhygienic.

Further, he shared that a girl passed out at the concert, however, there was no one from the management to help her. “Eventually, she was taken to the FIRST AID and then to hospital, but this happened before the concert even started. Felt like a serious lack of organization and concern for safety,” he wrote on X.

Siddharth had the worst experience at the food and beverage counter. Calling it “absolute chaos”, he revealed that the concertgoers had to stand in a queue to buy a card, then another queue to get an order slip, and the third queue to finally get the drink. “To top it off, drinks were served in glasses instead of bottles or cans, causing even more delays,” he wrote.

He continued and revealed that a fight broke out between the management and the crowd, following which they shut the beverage counters. No drinks or water was available to concertgoers after 9.00 pm. Concluding the post, he wrote, “Overall, Diljit’s performance was great. He’s truly a vibe. But the concert experience was poorly organized and definitely not worth the price tag. The management could have been much, much better.”
