Dressed in a veshti and a red kurta, Gukesh attempted the hook steps of the popular song with his family and friends, all wearing sunglasses. India scripted history with its victory at the Budapest Chess Olympiad, with D Gukesh, Arjun Erigaisi, and R Praggnanandhaa securing wins in the men’s final against Slovenia. The women’s team defeated Azerbaijan, earning the country its second gold medal. Following the triumph, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the chess players during an interaction.
