Child grabs snake with bare hands in viral video, leaves the Internet divided: ‘Close relationship with Yamraaj’

Most kids pick up toys, but some, quite shockingly, pick up snakes. A recent clip that has blown up on social media is proving just how fearless children can be. In the now-viral video, a boy is seen handling a massive snake with the confidence of a seasoned snake catcher.

Armed with a snake-catching stick, the child carefully pins down the reptile’s head before gripping it with his bare hand. What’s even more startling is that the snake appears almost twice his size, yet the boy beams with pride after lifting it up, grinning as if he’s just won a game.

The video, which has already crossed a lakh views on X, was posted with a Hindi caption that translates to: “Chhotu seems to have a close relationship with Yamraj. But this courage can also prove to be deadly.”

Viewers, however, were split between amazement and worry. A user wrote, “The little child is naive, you wrote absolutely correctly, if even a small mistake is made, it’s a matter of life.”

Another commented, “Ohh my god very dangerous scene.” A third joked, “Saanp prajaati mei darr ka mahaul” (There’s fear among snake population).

Not everyone was amused though. Many called out the risk posed to both the child and the snake. “Due to uncontrolled pressure, poor snake is in pain… Pl. don’t do this,” one user noted.

This isn’t the first time such a video has rattled the Internet. Just a few months ago, another clip went viral showing a young boy casually playing with a snake on a sofa. He tossed it around like a toy, even banging it on the chair, before getting spooked when the reptile flicked its tongue at him.
