A buffalo, reportedly valued at around Rs 21 crore, died suddenly at the popular Pushkar Animal Fair in Rajasthan after its health deteriorated Friday. The buffalo was among the main attractions at the fair, attracting thousands of onlookers every day.

According to a News18 report, the buffalo was taken to Pushkar with special arrangements due to its high value. Officials from the Animal Husbandry Department confirmed that a team of veterinarians rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the buffalo’s condition.

Despite their best efforts to provide immediate treatment, doctors failed to save the animal due to its massive body weight and rapidly worsening health, the report added.
