A cup of brewing hot tea is a staple drink of every Indian household. Tea is a comfort drink for a lot of Indians who drink a few cups every day no matter what the weather is.

Tea connoisseurs love their tea and while the process of making the beverage starts by boiling water in a pan, a woman’s method of making “roasted milk tea” has failed to win over the internet.

A woman named Monica Jasuja shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, and said she “condemns” this way of making tea. The woman in the video started by heating the tea leaves in a pan along with sugar.

After heating the mixture into a solid mass, she added some ginger and cardamom to the pan along with some water. After heating it further, she added some milk and then heated it for three to four minutes. She said this way of making tea will make it extra strong just like one finds in a roadside dhaba or stall.

“I strongly condemn this new way to make chai. Should we file a petition in SC to stop this nonsense?” Jasuja wrote on X.

Watch the video below:

“That is not tea. That is some horrid Chai Tea Tikka Masala Gravy concoction,” a user commented. “Serves about right, for all the abuse Dosa has gone through,” said another. “Why would someone play around with a simple process of making tea is beyond me,” wrote a third. “Even the makers of tea powder would not stand by this way of making tea,” posted another netizen.
