As the year 2023 ended yesterday, many people celebrated the New Year’s Eve at home with their family and friends. With people partying at home, there was a huge demand for ordering various snacks through instant delivery services.

Zomato-owned platform Blinkit posted a funny conversation on X, formerly Twitter, between a customer and their representative regarding the New Year Eve’s order.

“Hi my name is Akash. How can I help you today?” the customer care executive wrote. The customer said they ordered chips and drinks for their new year’s party from the app but something was missing from their order.

When Akash asked what was missing from their order, the customer said “Friends to party with” and posted several crying face emojis. The customer then inquired if the delivery rider could stay back. The X account of Blinkit posted the screenshot of the conversation and wrote, “Akash has left the
chat.”

Posted on Sunday, the tweet has received more than 1.85 lakh views and a lot of netizens said they could relate to it.

“This is more sad than funny. There are people actually like him (aka Me) who have bought things to party but no one to party with,” a user commented. “This is actually sad and depressing,” said another. “Can relate to him,” wrote a third.
