It’s that time of the year again. Apple’s newest flagship, the iPhone 17, officially hit Indian stores on September 19, drawing massive attention. Loyal fans from across Mumbai to Delhi, as well as first-time buyers, flocked to outlets to get their hands on the latest device. But this year, the spotlight is firmly on Bengaluru, where eager customers lined up outside the new Apple Hebbal store at Mall of Asia to snap up the iPhone 17 series along with the latest Apple Watch and AirPods.
In Mumbai, the queue outside the BKC Apple Store stretched around the building long before dawn. By sunrise, hundreds were already in line, armed with umbrellas, coffee cups and portable chargers.
In Delhi’s Saket outlet, a similar scene unfolded with enthusiastic buyers lining up for hours ahead of opening time.
The rush in Mumbai briefly took a tense turn when a scuffle broke out in the crowd. Security personnel quickly stepped in to diffuse the situation before it escalated.
iPhone 17 series sparked a nationwide frenzy, attracting shoppers not just from Mumbai and Delhi but from across India. Manoj, who travelled from Ahmedabad, said, “I come from Ahmedabad every time… I have been waiting since 5:00 AM.”
Another customer, Amaan Memon, said: “I am very excited for the iPhone 17 Pro Max series. This time, Apple has a new design. It features the A19 Bionic chip, so the gaming experience will be enhanced. I have been waiting for this colour for the last 6 months, when I came to know that this colour is going to be launched…”
With prices ranging from Rs 82,900 to Rs 2,29,900, the iPhone 17 series officially hit Indian shelves on Friday for both pre-booked and walk-in customers — marking yet another launch day where Apple’s fanbase showed up in full force.
