A shocking video of Delta Airlines Airbus A321neo aircraft that caught fire at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is doing rounds on the Internet. According to the New York Post, the flight operated from Cancun, Mexico, carrying 189 passengers, on May 6. The fire was triggered by an electrical issue which caused a fireball to explode and the aircraft’s nose burst into flames. However, no casualties were reported. Hope everyone got out okay.” “We've never had so many plane disasters..it as if some people don't want the masses to travel anymore,” a third user reacted. “The crew of Flight 604 from Cancun to Seattle noticed smoke in the aircraft nose area during deplaning on the evening of May 6 after plugging into ground electrical power. Out of an abundance of caution, slides were deployed and passengers still on board deplaned via the rear of the aircraft,” a Delta representative told Fox Business. On May 8, a Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by FedEx Airlines smashed its nose into the runway at Istanbul Airport after its front landing gear failed. The viral video captured sparks flying and smoke around the aircraft as it scraped along the runway.
