Amid the ongoing discussion highlighting the pros and drawbacks of the country’s international work permit system, a video of Indian students lined up in a long queue for waiter jobs in Canada is stirring up attention on social media. The video, from outside Tandoori Flame restaurant in Canada, highlights the adversities Indian students go through when seeking jobs. Agamvir Singh, one of the Indian students seeking the job, shared that he found out about the opening through an online advertisement and was asked to appear for an interview based on his application. Sharing his thoughts on the chaotic scene outside the restaurant, another student highlighted the unemployment in the country. “It's so bad; it’s like everyone is looking for a job, and no one is getting a job properly. So many of my friends don’t have a job right now, and they have been here for 2-3 years,” the student said.
