Days after the tragic death of Russian actor Kamilla Belyatskaya at Koh Samui in Thailand due to strong waves, another video of massive waves wiping out a group of men on the rocky shoreline near Sharks Cove on Oahu’s North Shore in Hawaii has stunned the Internet. The incident occurred around 2.30 pm and was caught on camera by a man shooting video of the rising surf at Ke Iki Beach. According to Hawaii News Now, a Hawaii-based news channel, three men were swept away by the waves, and could barely make it to the shore. They sustained injuries like bleeding and bruises. The now-viral video shows men swimming at the rocky beach when a massive wave hit, swiping them away. Onlookers could be heard screaming in the video. While swimmers could make it, one had to be taken away on a stretcher. A user wrote, “Those rocks are sharp. Those people not so much.” Another user commented, “Oooof I’ve slipped on those rocks before—hurts real bad. Hope these people are okay.” “Winter swells on the North shore is dangerous. Gotta be careful and aware of your surroundings when by the ocean,” a third user reacted. Recently, an aspiring actor from Russia lost her life while performing yoga at a popular tourist spot in Thailand. A video of her final moments showed her being swept away at the island of Koh Samui, overlooking the Gulfside of Thailand. The rescue team arrived almost 15 minutes after she was swept away. The search was initially suspended due to dangerous wave conditions, according to a local publication, Khaosod English.
