A Singapore Airlines flight (SQ321) operating from London to Singapore experienced “severe turbulence” on Monday, killing one person and leaving several injured. Horrifying footage of the wounded passengers and the aircraft’s ceiling coming off is now doing the rounds on the Internet.

In photos and videos shared on X by a user Ian Miles Cheong, an injured woman can be seen seated on the jump seats near the lavatory. A crew member is seen sitting on the other side. In a video, the broken luggage compartments can be seen hanging. In another photo, horrified passengers can be seen seated holding the handles, and several things scattered on the aisle.

Sharing the post, Cheong wrote, “Grim footage from the Singapore Airlines Boeing 777 flight from London to SG. Passengers were flung to the ceiling when it experienced a 7,000 ft drop.”
