The season begins with Rose Day on February 7, which involves couples sending bouquets of red roses to their significant ones. While they paint the town red, singles dread this season–having their “Pyaar mein andhe ho gaye ho kya” moment. However, thanks to social media which taught users to express their ‘agony’ through memes.

Though there are several theories about Rose Day, it is believed that roses were a symbol of mystery and passion in Roman mythology.
