Rishi Sunak, former prime minister of the United Kingdom, visited the Taj Mahal at sunset on Saturday with his wife Akshata Murty, daughters, Krishna and Anoushka, and mother-in-law, Sudha Murty. The family was accompanied by Shamshuddin, a veteran guide, PTI reported.
Sunak arrived in Agra on Saturday for a two-day trip, which included exploring the Taj Mahal and other notable landmarks in the area. In a video shared by ANI, Sunak and Akshata can be seen signing the guest book at the Taj Mahal. “Agra, Uttar Pradesh: Rishi Sunak, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, along with his wife, Akshata Murty, and mother-in-law, Sudha Murthy, visited the Taj Mahal, in Agra today,” ANI wrote on X.

Sunak, currently in India, had earlier attended the fifth and final T20I match of the series between India and England at the renowned Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 2.
Sharing a few snippets on X, Sunak wrote, “Tough day for England at the Wankhede but I know our team will come back stronger. Congratulations to Team India on the win. Despite the result, it was an honour to meet @josbuttler and @surya_14kumar before the match and a pleasure to watch the cricket with my father-in-law.”

On February 1, Sunak, who served as the UK prime minister from October 2022 to July 2024, was spotted attending the Jaipur Literature Festival with his wife Akshata Murthy, along with his father-in-law N R Narayan Murthy and Sudha Murty’s sister.
