Canadian rapper Drake placed a massive $750,000 bet (roughly Rs 6.41 crore) on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to clinch their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Drake shared a screenshot of the wager on Instagram through the crypto-betting platform Stake, showing his support for Virat Kohli’s side. With odds set at 1.75, a win for RCB could earn the rapper over $1.3 million (around Rs 11.11 crore).

Sharing the development, Drake captioned the post with RCB’s iconic chant, “Ee Sala Cup Namde (this year the cup is ours),” surprising fans across the globe.

Several fans reacted to Drake’s announcement, with one saying, “SINCE WHEN DO YOU KNOW KANNADA LINGO???? Omg.” Another user commented, “I say we pull up.”

Meanwhile, cricket enthusiasts in India are coming together to back RCB as they will lock horns against Preity Zinta’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. This marks the fourth time RCB has reached the IPL final, while PBKS are also chasing their maiden title. Neither team has lifted the trophy since the league began in 2008.

RCB secured their place in the final with a dominant victory over Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1, while PBKS earned their spot by narrowly defeating Mumbai Indians in a tense, high-stakes match.
