Big changes are coming to the world of Peppa Pig. After two decades of fun, laughter, and plenty of muddy puddles, Peppa and her little brother George are about to welcome a new sibling.
Mummy Pig, voiced by Morwenna Banks, made the big announcement during a special segment on Good Morning Britain. “I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because we’re having another baby. I’m due in the summer, and we’re all so excited,” she said.
While Peppa and George can’t wait to meet their new sibling, their mum admitted they’ve had plenty of questions along the way. “Peppa knew something was going on—she’s such a curious thing, we had to tell her before she popped!”
Of course, the anticipation is endless. She said, “Every day they ask me how big the baby is, when it’s coming, does it like muddy puddles and dinosaurs… It never stops!”
With Peppa Pig already beloved in more than 40 languages worldwide, this new addition is sure to bring even more heart-warming moments to the show.

Peppa Pig fans had a lot to say after news broke that the beloved cartoon family is getting a new member. Social media reactions ranged from excitement to humour, with one user writing, “We got a new Peppa Pig sibling before GTA 6.” Another user said, “Surely the name has to begin with an i? Then all the children’s names could spell out PIG with their first letters.”
A third individual commented, “Rip george hes gonna be the middle child now.”
Esra Cafer, a senior vice president at Hasbro, told The Independent that this storyline will resonate with young viewers. “Preschoolers welcoming a new sibling will strongly relate to these new stories and can learn how to handle the new moment,” she said.
Peppa and George, who have remained four and two years old since the show debuted in 2004, have been at the center of the series for years. Created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker, Peppa Pig has grown into a global phenomenon, airing in over 180 countries. Hasbro acquired the franchise in 2019 as part of a £3.3 billion deal with Entertainment One.
Mummy Pig announcing her pregnancy is set to air on March 30, aligning perfectly with Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom.
