Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg returned to the gym five months after he underwent knee surgery. On Monday, Zuckerberg, who tore a knee ligament while training in mixed martial arts (MMA), shared a video of him training his legs.
“5 months post-surgery. Recovery is going well and starting to get strength back. Really looking forward to easing back into training over the coming months. Appreciate all the love and support,” Zuckerberg wrote on Instagram.

The video is winning hearts with over a million views and myriad reactions on the platform. “Would’ve push kicked Elon to Mars,” a user joked. “Zuck got the Thoroughbred legs (pause) glad to see u progressing back! god is good!” another user commented.

In November last year, Zuckerberg took to his social media handles and shared news about his knee injury. In a photo, he was seen on a hospital bed with his left leg bandaged and in a supportive leg brace.
Sharing the news, he wrote, “Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support.”
According to reports, Zuckerberg began training in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu during the coronavirus pandemic. He completed his first tournament in May 2023.
