Japanese singer Yuzuki Nakashima, a member of the popular girl group Sakurazaka46, has shared her unusual daily routine, revealing her strong commitment to education. Despite her busy career in the entertainment industry, Nakashima commutes from Tokyo to Fukuoka to attend university, which is located nearly 1,000 km away.

In her new daily vlog on YouTube, Nakashima shared that she wakes up at 5 am every day and takes a two-hour flight to her college. She lands at Kitakyushu Airport around 9.30 am, after which she travels to her university in Fukuoka by either taxi or bus. The entire one-way trip takes over two hours and costs upwards of 15,000 yen (approximately Rs 18,000) daily, The South China Morning Post reported.

To make the most of her demanding schedule, she uses her flight time productively: studying and completing assignments. After college, she spends her evenings with intense dance and vocal training, as part of her commitments with Sakurazaka46.

Remarkably, this has been her routine for the past four years, something she kept private until now. Nakashima shared that with her graduation approaching, she finally felt it was the right moment to reveal this lesser-known side of her journey.

A similar story surfaced on social media in February last year, involving a Canadian arts student who opted for an unconventional commute. Instead of renting a place in Vancouver, he chose to fly from Calgary to Vancouver twice a week to attend college. He revealed that the monthly cost of his flights, around Rs 1 lakh, was still more affordable than paying the steep rent prices in Vancouver.
