In a heartfelt message shared on X, Slipz posted a picture of himself alongside the YouTuber during a shoot, along with a personal note. However, many social media users are speculating that it might just be an April Fools’ prank.
“I am announcing my separation from the IShowSpeed team. Years and years of memories and entertaining millions of people around the world has lead me to new heights and brought me to corners of the world I never would have seen myself in,” Slipz wrote on X.
“I thank all of you for the love and support throughout this tremendous journey. Thank you @ishowspeedsui for the opportunity to work alongside you!” it added.

The post quickly went viral, with numerous IShowSpeed fans flooding the comment section. While some viewers labelled it a ‘good riddance’, others dismissed it as just another prank.
“thank god sick of these laggy streams…,” a user wrote. “It’s 10:35 at night in LA. You still haven’t said “April fools” since it’s not April’s 1st yet,” another user commented.
“My heart skipped a beat for a sec, stop playin like that,” a third user reacted.
Born as Darren Watkins Jr, IShowSpeed recently made waves during his China visit. One of the highlights of his trip was trying his hands at Kung Fu. On X, IShowSpeed shared a clip from his stream where he dressed in a martial arts uniform and bald cap to resemble a Shaolin monk. The endurance training song turned into the instructor breaking sticks over his body. True to his style, the YouTuber endured the pain, delivering quirky expressions on camera.
