Gabrielle Forsyth, an Indian-origin woman, was recently subjected to racial abuse during a train journey from London to Manchester. The incident took place on Sunday while Forsyth was travelling home and casually discussing her work with a charity that supports immigrants. However, the discussion quickly escalated when a nearby passenger, reportedly drunk, overheard her remark and began to threaten and verbally abuse her, the Metro reported.

Forsyth initially shared the video on X but later deleted it following a backlash. The video has since been circulated on other social media platforms. In the viral footage, the man in question is seen recording while discussing immigrants and the country’s immigration policies. Meanwhile, his companion, a woman, can be seen trying to cover her face as she listens to his tirade.

“You’re in England, you are claiming something. You would not be in England if you weren’t claiming something. English people conquered the world and gave it back to you. We conquered India, we didn’t want it, we gave it back to you,” the man can be heard saying in the video.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Brut India wrote, ““India belonged to England”- UK man’s racist rant on train sparked outrage.”

Several users reacted to the video, with one commenting, “Bro has got deep burns with India’s 3-0 win over England.” Another user wrote, “If Britain were to return what they stole, it would be 13 to 15 times their entire economy. You poor presents you whole future is coz what you stole from us!”

“Also I just want to say you could never make me ashamed of being brown. I will never be ashamed of my heritage, and I will never be afraid of Nazis or bigots. Call me whatever, threaten me with whatever. I’m not going anywhere and you can die mad about it,” Forsyth wrote on X.
