Tweeple couldn’t resist taking a dig at the #DumpTowers Google maps search

Google Maps recently gave a rather unusual search result when 'Trump Towers' was typed in.

November 2016 has seen some rather unprecedented twists and turns. While Indians, who like the rest of the world were gearing up to the know the US presidential election results, PM Narendra Modi’s surprise announcement of demonetisation of old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes as legal tender had people all confused. But for the rest of the world, now US president-elect Donald Trump’s victory had caught them off-guard.

While people have made peace with the results, there was a person recently, who decided to have some fun at the expense of Trump or rather, his Manhattan residence, also known as the Trump Towers. It seems that for a few hours, the midtown Manhattan skyscraper showed as “Dump Towers” on Google Maps search! According to a WPIX-TV report, the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Columbus circle too became, well, you guessed it, Dump International Hotel and Tower! Though this mischief was soon looked into, it was a tad too late, with Twitter buzzing with reactions!

While most tweeple actually congratulated the hacker for his/her ‘whacky sense of humour’, and tweeted a high-five to the anonymous person, others called the person childish.
