A ceremonial guard had to be taken away from the Order of the Garter event at Windsor Castle in England on Monday after something went wrong during the parade.
In a video shared on X by Sky News, the guard tripped and fell backwards, which made other guards worry about his safety. Before the fall, the guard looked shaky and weak. Other guards and medical staff quickly came to offer support as he rocked back and forth.
The Order of the Garter ceremony is one of the most significant events in the British royal calendar where dignitaries and royals gather in their traditional finery. The event was established by King Edward III in 1348 to honour people who have made significant contributions to society. Lord Kakkar, at 60 years old, is the youngest of the 21 current members.

The incident occurred during the procession leading to St George’s Chapel, capturing the attention of attendees and onlookers alike.
The guard was escorted from the grounds. Reacting to the video, a social media user said, “He probably ate a sandwich from Asda, boots or another company who didn’t recall their sandwiches in time.” Another user added, “stop it, its fairly common, being made to stand like this will have this effect. leave the poor sod alone, its not news.” And a third user wrote, “So embarrassing I bet he or she got teased later on!”
