Erika Kirk, the wife of conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, has broken her silence on Instagram just days after he was shot dead.
In an emotional post made on Saturday, Erika shared a carousel of family snapshots alongside pictures from Charlie’s funeral. “The world is evil. But our Savior, our Lord, our God… He is so good,” she wrote. “I will never have the words. Ever. The sound of this widow weeping echoes throughout this world like a battle cry.”
She vowed to carry on the work her husband began. “If they thought my husband’s mission was big now… you have no idea. You will never, ever forget my husband @charliekirk1776. I’ll make sure of it,” Erika added.
Her tribute ended with a poignant farewell to Charlie, “Rest in the arms of our Lord, baby, as He blankets you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear — ‘Well done, My good and faithful servant’.”

Just a day earlier, on September 12, the 36-year-old spoke publicly for the first time since Charlie’s death. Holding back tears, she blamed “evildoers” for what she described as her husband’s “assassination” and said their actions “ignited a fire” inside her.
Paying tribute to Charlie as a devoted husband and father, she said, “Most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me, with all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day.”
On September 10, while addressing an audience at Utah Valley University in Utah, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck. The 31-year-old conservative firebrand, known for his outspoken and often polarising views, succumbed to injuries later that day.
Erika Kirk, 36, has worn many hats, from Miss Arizona and NCAA basketball player to ministry leader and entrepreneur. She holds a Juris Master’s in American legal studies and is now working toward a doctorate in Biblical studies. Alongside her academic and charitable efforts, she launched the faith-driven apparel brand PROCLAIM and founded the nonprofit Everyday Heroes Like You. She and her husband first met in 2018, married three years later, and are now parents to a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.
On September 11, Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, travelled with Erika on Air Force Two as Charlie’s body was flown home to Phoenix. Former President Donald Trump confirmed Charlie’s death and offered condolences to Erika and the children, calling Charlie “loved and admired by ALL, especially me.”
