From sleek waterfront apartments and luxurious desert villas to tiny studio units, Dubai’s real estate market is making waves by catering for all kinds of tastes and budgets. A recent listing for a “partition with balcony” available for AED 2,700 per month (over Rs 62,000) has left the Internet stunned.

Described as a “Ready-to-move-in Partition with balcony,” the space is located in the upscale Dubai Marina and offers enough room for only a single bed, a bedside table, and a cupboard. In Dubai’s rental market, a “partition with balcony” typically refers to a small section of an apartment or villa that has been divided, often with temporary walls, curtains, or glass, to create a private area for a tenant. It functions more like a cubicle-sized space.

Despite its size, the asking rent of AED 2,700, along with a deposit of AED 500 (Rs 11,000), has raised eyebrows. Several users on Instagram couldn’t believe the price for such a tiny area, showcasing the growing contrast between luxury and affordability in Dubai’s rental landscape. Many users compared their property to flats in Mumbai. Sharing the video, an Instagram handle @neson.servies wrote, “Ready-to-move-in Partition with balcony for rent in marina, dubai. He further lay down to illustrate the dimensions, effortlessly reaching the opposite wall with his hands and feet.
