Nate Bryne, an Australian weatherman, stopped midway through his live reporting due to a panic attack. The ABC News Breakfast presenter announced that he was struggling in the middle of reading Queensland’s weather report on Tuesday morning.

In the viral video shared by Daily Mail, Bryne says, “Some of you may know that I occasionally get affected by some panic attacks – and that’s actually happening right now. I’m going to need to stop for a second.

Bryne’s co-host Lisa Millar took over the broadcast immediately. He came back later in the show, apologising to anyone who got scared by his sudden exit. “Thank you all so much for helping me out,” he says.

In 2022, Bryne opened up about his first panic attack, calling it “terrifying” and how it changed his understanding of mental health. “I’d later find out that what I was experiencing was diagnosable and manageable, but in that moment I thought that my career was over,” Stuff quoted Bryne.

In April, BBC weather presenter Simon King suffered breathing issues during a live broadcast. Later, he reassured his viewers it was the effects of running up stairs on his way to the studio.
