Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding: Ambanis hire 3 Falcon-2000 jets to ferry guests, here’s everything you need to know

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot on Friday, July 12. In March, the couple had a star-studded pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which saw the global pop icon Rihanna’s performance. During the celebrations, the Ambanis inaugurated Vantara, a large-scale wildlife animal rescue, cave conservation and rehabilitation centre.

In May, the Ambanis hosted an extravagant pre-wedding event on a cruise ship, which had its stops in Rome, Cannes and Portofino. The event was attended by almost every Bollywood celebrity including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhavi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, among others.

Ahead of their wedding, the Ambanis organised a Sangeet ceremony for the couple, which had performances by Justin Bieber.

Last week, Mumbai Traffic Police released a traffic advisory warning commuters of possible disruptions owing to the Anant-Radhika wedding festivities, calling it a “public event”. “Due to a public event at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex on July 5th and from July 12th to 15th, 2024, the following traffic arrangements will be in place for the smooth flow of traffic,” Mumbai Traffic Police wrote on X.

However, this did not go well with Mumbaikars and sparked outrage against Mumbai Police for calling the Ambanis’ wedding festivities a “public” event.
