Strong winds pushed an American Airlines plane away from its gate at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport in storm-hit Texas, US. According to the New York Post, the Boeing aircraft, which weighs 90,000 pounds, was shoved along the tarmac after disconnecting the loading bridge.

In the viral video, the aircraft can be seen moving away from the loading bridge as a severe storm hit the area. The video also captures a baggage truck parked alongside the aircraft. However, the plane did not hit the truck.

Sharing the video, an X handle Breaking Aviation News & Videos wrote, “American Airlines 737-800 pushed away from its gate at DFW Airport during severe weather Tuesday morning.”

“In the wake of severe weather, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has grounded most of its operations, impacting more than 700 flights,” it added.

The video accumulated 1.9 million views on X as several social media users reacted to it. “The fog is blowing in the other direction. and the little wagon just stays where it is? and in the background, at the end, a truck drives past relaxed,” a user wrote. “Somebody missed the ‘set parking brake’ checklist item.”

According to American Airlines, the plane was among the several affected by the 80 mph wind. The strong winds also damaged a large commercial warehouse in the airport’s vicinity.

At least one person was killed and more than 600,000 people in Texas witnessed a power cut on Tuesday night, CNN reported.
