Adapted to extreme temperatures, camels are commonly used for transportation. However, a new video circulating on social media shows a camel being transported on a motorcycle, a rare sight.

Shared by Jist News on Instagram, the viral video shows two men carrying a camel on their motorcycle on a busy road. The video also captures the camel grunting during the ride as its feet were brutally folded and tied. While the location is uncertain, the sign boards in the video have Arabic on it.

“Two men were seen carrying a camel on a bike, and the video has left the internet in shock. However, there is no information available about when or where this video was recorded,” the caption of the Instagram post read.

The said video invited backlash, with a user slamming the men for animal cruelty. “Look at how they have folded its feet and tied hard unnaturally like a luggage to forcefully fit in bike,” a user wrote. “These men need to be tied to a bike and dragged,, nothing less and whipped,” another user commented.

“I want to see that camel throwing these men somewhere far,” a third user wrote. “The camel looks like its crying for help,” another user commented.

In another case of animal cruelty, a theatre actor playing the role of a demon in Ramayana was arrested in Odisha for violation of the Wildlife Protection Act. According to reports, the actor ripped open a pig’s stomach on stage and ate its raw meat during the performance.
