NVIDIA, led by CEO Jensen Huang, reached a historic market valuation of $3.92 trillion, making it the most valuable company in history, surpassing Microsoft and Apple.
Nvidia now accounts for 7% of the S&P 500. Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Alphabet together make up 28% of the index.
Presently, Microsoft holds the position of the second most valuable company, with a market capitalisation of $3.7 trillion, followed by Apple at third, with a market value of $3.19 trillion.
