Top most walkable cities in the world 2025: With 1.475 billion cars worldwide but just 182 vehicles per 1,000 people, walkable cities are increasingly being seen as models of affordability, sustainability, and smarter urban design.
Munich leads the ranking, with around 86 per cent of its population living within one kilometre of a car-free space, alongside hundreds of miles of bike trails.
In contrast, the United States also accounts for several of the least walkable cities, with Dallas, Houston, and Chicago all appearing in the bottom 10.
